Hi All.

Man it was cold out this morning, caught me surprise in a light coat, no gloves; 16 F/-9 C with a wind chill -8 F/-22 C. Without proper attire I only stayed out for 30 minutes. I did get a couple of nice images though. It was also a chance to check out the new 150-450. Very nice lens.

Wow, look at all that snow! Congratulations? :)
.
I blew my FF fund this week and bought a 645D. I may still get the FF but probably won't be an early adopter.
I really like it so far. I have a few lenses from my film 645 so those will need to keep me going until my bank account recovers.
645D & A 45/3.5
<a title="IMGP0026-Edit" href=" IMGP0026-Edit data-flickr-embed="true">
.
645D & A 200/4, 2 shot pano
<a title="IMGP0160-Pano-Edit" href=" IMGP0160-Pano-Edit data-flickr-embed="true">
.
But I still enjoy my crop gear when I need to travel light.
This was from my first real ski tour of the season today. Snow was good but a little thin in places. We had to ski pretty far for a little bit of powder skiing but it was fun just to be there.

Thanks guys!
I'm excited to get used to the new camera. Being a little older than my other daily camera(s) it's got fewer features but I kind of like that stripped down approach, even though the "missing" stuff (like Live View) was added for the 645Z. It's perfect for slow shooting which I find really puts my head in the right place and gets me results I'm happy with. So no Harry, I don't have or forsee a problem with the rate it captures. I doubt I'll be taking many individual bike/run/ski/etc racer shots with it, but maybe some big sweeping shots with all the racers instead. Then the crop gear comes out for the closer individual shots.
I agree web sized reproductions (especially here on pnet) will not do the images justice. My clients will probably see the most benefit and maybe we will all get to see something published in a glossy mag at some point.

well I'm rather ignorant about hardware & software as well as the science of photography. However, I do miss proper autofocussing, something I was painfully aware of yesterday while shooting an indoor dancing party.
Still have plenty material left when 1 in 10 is sharp enough. These are from earlier in the week:
