chris_j6
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows which adapters to get in order to use some old Carl Zeiss Jena DDR lenses on an EF mount film camera. Attached is an image of the mounts of the lenses. The mounts are, as one can see, of various sizes.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you!

paul_wheatland
Fotodiox.com has the adapter for m42 lens to ef body with provision for pin to be activated for stop down metering.
Jochen_S
Knowing from which camera system you salvaged them would make things easier. - To me they look a bit more like Pentacon Six instead of Praktica M42 thread mount, but I might be off. There used to be Praktica B mount too and what about Exa mount? Laying a transparent ruler above a mount in question would be helpful identifying it according to pictures. AFAIK the East Germans made a Pentacon Six to M42 adapter. can you adapt M42 to EF? - If not you might be out of luck.
subbarayan_prasanna
The lens on the right end looks like an M42 electric Meyer Oreston for the Praktica L-series, LLC, PLC, VLC, etc. On the other lenses it is difficult to figure the thread size from a picture. sp.

In fact, I used to have a P6-mount Jena Sonnar 180/2.8, which I mounted onto my EF bodies by stacking a P6>M42 adapter onto an M42>EF adapter. The latter adapters are readily available, but the former are not. I got mine online from an eBay vendor in Eastern Europe.

Unfortunately, I sold the P6>M42 adapter along with the lens; otherwise, I'd have offered it to you (if you do, indeed, have a P6-mount lens).

Julio Fernandez
As SP said above the one on the right looks like an M42; the rest of the lenses seem larger.

Maybe a front shot, or the names and focal distances of the lenses could help to identify your case, as well as measurements of the thread diameters.
