1.
Sorry for bad news but this camera can be fried by trigger voltage from unapproved speedlite with excessive voltage, also electronic cameras can be damaged by removing or sliding on a speedlite that has switch turned on and ready light glowing.

 2.
My favorite use of 35mm f/2.8 PC optic is absolutely level on a tripod, shoot 11 degrees to the left and 11 degrees to the right for a wonderful panoramic image. I will try this on my crop dslr, but have used this effect on my 35mm Nikon F with great results. I at present do not own FX dslr nor mirrorless camera! Using these lenses, meter reading must be taken with lens at null postion only per Nikon' s instructions.

 3. I've always felt if the repair estimate exceeds 50% of the current value of the used lens, declining the repair may be prudent.
 4.
The IIIf would have a factory made PC port, a IIIc would not unless it was done by a technician independent shop or by Leica authorized Repair facility.

 5.
I have a late k1000 with black debris above the screen. I believe foam rubber light blocking material in the prism housing has rotted and the goo has fallen to the top side of the screen. It's a shame as the camera and lens are mint and function as the should. Repair requires removal of the top deck which at my age is no longer in the cards, heath, eyesight, nimbleness and cost involved.

 6.
I use a 90 manual focus adaptall which has a helical focus down to 1-1. I rarely use my manual focus 55 with extension tube as I can't get enough light as distance is far too close. I prefer manual focus for macro work, ( also manual focus for my wide angle photography 28mm, 24, 20 and 17 relying on hyperfocal distance settings).

 7.
I bought a Canon 10d IN original box with everything supplied except a lens and CD for under $85 usd. I already had Canon T2 film camera with 28-105 and 75-300. Both cameras perform flawlessly. The 10d is built like a magnesium tank, the T2 is plastic consumer like but competent

 8.
Lightly tapping on the cover should help to break the corrosion that is jamming the fine threads. A drop of solvent should complete the task! Do not overuse the above hints to avoid damage to the prism and meter!

 9.
Your image shows dirt and debris on the negative, possibly occurring at the lab otherwise check the film chamber and mirror box for dust, dirt and bits of rotted foam. Avoid treating front surface mirror and bottom of screen harshly as they can be easily damaged in your cleaning efforts!

 10.
An inexpensive telescope called a monocular should work nicely. Affixing it to the board with the 1.5 hole may be challenging but can be solved with a plastic flange threaded to a plastic short length of pipe that will hold. the monocular.

 11.
My sense might be a grey market, non Nikon manufactured camera or the serial number is a misprint, the 8 should have been a 6 to agree with the series.

 12.
Always advance and cock the shutter when you plan to store the camera. Operate the camera in a slow deliberate and contemplative manner! Do not touch the fragile shutter for any reason. Operate all controls and film loading following all instructions as seen on the internet or obtain a manual of operation. Above, do not force any procedure. These hints also apply to to the 500+ series.

 13.
If you can determine that the mount is 42mm coarse thread then you need a m42 to Canon fd body. If it is 42mm fine thread you need a T- mount to fit Canon fd. Hope this helps!

 14. Pax by Yamamoto product of Japan, very small full frame 35mm film camera from 1950/1960 era.
 15.
I am using Canon eos lenses, 28-105 and 75-300 that I have also used with my Canon Rebel film camera. I am happy with them but wanted to use existing manual lenses such as Tamron, 17mm, 24 f2,5, 28 f 2,5, 90 f2,8 macro 1-1, 135 f2,8 and my favorite Nikkor 35 f2 non ai. With two adapters from Fotodiox, adaptall Tamron to m42 to EOS body and Nikon lens to EOS body I am able to use these lenses with excellent results on my Canon 10d 6 mp, single lens reflex with 1,6 crop. All photography with manual lenses are with AV and Manual metering but no TV or Program modes! Anyone using this arrangement, it's worth trying as I did!
