The Macro contest

<p>By my estimated count, this is the largest ever contest submission pool. Roughly 400 entries as of today. What criterion are folks using to narrow down their choice? All the photos look good to me. You might as well throw darts to pick the winner.</p>

<p>I was beginning to think there was some not so well known special photographer's society macro qualifier assessed on levels of fear on how close one can get to a subject. The scarier and more dangerous the less the photographer is required to get close and still be considered a macro shot. Elephants may challenge that though.</p>
