Classic Manual Cameras Weekend July 24

Recommended Posts

In some time zones it is already Friday, July 24 so let's kick off this weekend's Classic Manual Cameras thread. I'll start with a recent shot (in black & white) and two color shots from my archives.
Same rules as before and if you have a "fourth" image that you like please consider posting it in the 365 day thread.

00dPA5-557733884.jpg.dd0451bf434b4662591be66f307fb8bb.jpg

Welcome to the Classic Manual Cameras forum and our weekend thread, Raghavendra. Great photos. Nice to see some Fujica 35EE images. Those fixed lens Fujica rangefinders are great little cameras that deliver top quality images. Don't forget to visit our 365 day thread as well. Thanks for sharing.

Nothing from this week, so I have to dig into the archive. This one is done with a Bronica S2A coupled with an old Darlot Petzval 6" brass lens, Fujifilm NPZ800.

Hello again. More than ever I am amazed at what can be done with my CMC folder cameras from the early 1950's era. When used with a rock-solid tripod (Husky V here) and the built-in 10 sec self timers, the lenses are deadly sharp. This shot I used the max stop down (about f45) of the Apotar 80mm on the Agfa Isolette III, with a 1 sec exposure held solid by the tripod. 100Tmax, Pilot, 510-Pyro and V600 scan. Enjoy, Bill

00dPFa-557745184.jpg.558eb58ac9e85fb3903978b8dcbe1576.jpg

At last I have put a film through a camera that is classic - a Minolta XE-1. Too often I am using film cameras from the AF era, and I guess these don't qualify here. Perhaps there should be a Film Friday option in the modern cameras forum ...

These are taken with a Rokkor MD 50mm f/1.4, and the film used was outdated Kodak Color Plus 200.

Great round of weekend images, everyone. Thanks to our regular contributors as well as those who are new to the thread. I'm currently finishing up one of my last rolls of 35mm Fuji Reala so after sending off to Dwaynes for developing and scanning I hope to have some new color to post soon. Everyone have a great week.
