stemked Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015
Hi gang.
Great images Harry, Bob. Love the Pussy Willows and the Bridge images.
Just back from Costa Rica. And do I ever have a lot of images to share! I'm at work right now and it maybe a couple of days before I can get things up, but they'll come fast and furious. The K3 was a real trouper especially in the rain (my friends Canon gear had to stay stashed much of the bad weather). If anything I think I need to replace the 55-300 with a WR version for the future.

Best wishes,

Doug
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MattB.Net Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015
Looking forward to seeing those Doug! I'd love to take a trip to Costa Rica one day.
.
The unsettled weather here has continued this week but we got some nice windows in the weather and some nice stormy skies to photograph.
Here's one from an evening ride after a storm that replenished those puddles around our desert trails that I love so much.
K-3 & DA* 16-50
<a title="IMGP2301-Edit by Matt Burt, on Flickr" href=" src="https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7754/16922087583_2dc0efa422_z.jpg" alt="IMGP2301-Edit" width="640" height="426" />
.
My son "headlined" a recital singing and playing his rendition of Live and Let Die which I have to say was really good! He makes me a very proud dad on a regular basis. :)
K-3 & DA 70
<a title="IMGP2525 by Matt Burt, on Flickr" href=" src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8736/17600466116_66a8ecdd6d_z.jpg" alt="IMGP2525" width="640" height="426" />
.
I stitched this pano in LR6 and it did a good job. I took the photos on a ride last night (surprise surprise) that I was happy to squeeze in between storms.
K-3 & DA 18-135
<a title="IMGP3106-Pano-Edit by Matt Burt, on Flickr" href=" src="https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5327/17617522708_49b0b363d1_z.jpg" alt="IMGP3106-Pano-Edit" width="640" height="213" />
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dorus Posted May 19, 2015 Share Posted May 19, 2015
"how do you keep your head together in all this madness"? a journalist asked Mick Jagger. MattB.Net Posted May 22, 2015 Share Posted May 22, 2015
Harry, I like that first one. Nice contrasts in tones and texture.
Bob, those old bridges are pretty cool. Do you know why they were covered? I've never heard an explanation for that but wondered if it's to keep snow off.
Dorus, the flower shot is very nice but I wonder if it should be a touch brighter. Love the detail and crispness of it.
Douglas, lovely shots. I like the salamander the best!
Yury, looks like a fun day at the lake! Still too cold to swim here without a wetsuit!
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
