This forum's moderators are allowing up to three images per week, so share some work!

Howdy, Nikon people. A good Wednesday to all. This week, just a set shot from a rough draft of a project that involved some look-down video of a camera drone fly-by against a green screen for keying the flying machine against another composite layer to be dropped in later behind/below it. It's all about a five-second logo reveal bumper for some upcoming work. The test was interesting, but will take a few revisions, I suspect. In the shot, you can see the 6-foot chroma-key green screen on the ground, the video camera 13' up on the boom, and the 800mm hexacopter camera drone flying by between them, about 5' off the ground. If I get some good results in follow-up revisions, I'll link to it another week. What've you been up to? Share!

johnfarrar
Norbert that's a beautifully lit image.
I'm not sure about this picture. I wanted an impression of a landscape under a partial eclipse, rather than a picture with the sun large in it. But why would such a landscape look like an eclipse? Putting the sun in the picture with my 17-35/2.8, and the sun was just a smeared mess. But with the humble 50/1.8 AF-D the sun was much tighter. But does the picture work?

jose_angel
It had to be the final print, but I missed to burn the bottom with magenta for another 1/4 stop. The negative has been somewhat complex to print, with -loads- of dodgings&burnings, so I`m thinking to leave it for tonning right now... I`m so lazy to repeat another session for this image (I have been working on it for the last two days). At the end, it will be placed in a bit dimmer area at home.

Image taken loong ago, Nikon F3 with (very likely) a 50/1.4 AiS, on Kodak TMX. MGIV FB print. (Funny, after cleaning the scanner, the image came out with more spots and dust than the original print under a glass carrier... Newton rings as well !) :)

5711
@ john

yeah it does.
i did exactly the same here in vienna.
a city scape with vine in front of me going downhill towards vienna.
i did not edit it yet or browse through them.

what comes to mind instantly is, that the light is indeed very weird and one might wonder what it was.

i chose not to show the sun at all.

so looking at your image i would tend to not show the sun too.
but if it m,ust be on the frame. for whatever reason i feel like a littlebit more foreground would be cool.
one does get dragged into the image niceley, as the only path is right there in the middle.
however, it does get bright there and i feel like i am dragged towards the sun really soon.
to put this in balance i would have preferred to have a bit more ground that would keep me there a bit longer and thus making the weirdly lit landscape more important than the sun itself

it is a great photo and this is just my two cents.
and, most importantly, it does have rocks in it :)

Wouter Willemse
One day, I'd wish to be able to write what Jose wrote for sheer technical abilities... but instead, I'm on the other end of the learning curve: this weekend I finally got to developing my very first roll of B&W film. Yep, I am some sort of hipster I guess. It didn't go too bad, I was a bit anxious since the roll sat in my fridge waiting for development for over 4 years....

panayotis_papadopoulos
Hi Nikon folks! Very nice shots this week as well...mine is from the Kalogria Beach in Patras.
The famous Kalogria Beach is located approximately 45 km west of Patras. This is one of the largest and most beautiful beaches in Greece. It’s main feature is the “endless” sand, and the magnificent view of the forest Strofilia which extends 20,000 acres along the beach.
Have a nice day!
