Hi All.

Finally got a chance to run out with the camera. There is a Coyote that is frequently out at a local lake near where I am, but even with the 600mm I can never get within shooting distance before it takes off.I'll keep working on it though.

My first image is from the Wolf Park near Lafayette, IN

Hi folks it's been a couple of months since I have posted regularly. Between Christmas, a house reno and work there hasn't been much time. The weather has been rotten as well so that hasn't helped! Great shots Doug. The second is stellar. Yuri - the bus is an interesting subject to capture. Harry - I like the monument and would really be interested in seeing it in HDR. Here are three shots of colleagues taken at dinner during a conference this past week...

00d4l3-554181684.jpg.a54b55268a32f2d8c2bf6bec68bd730e.jpg

Hi All.

Nice night shots there Yury. Looks like everyone's having a great time!
Harry-I likewise really like the monument image too. It might be cleaner to 'clone out' that stick in front of the sign (just a thought)
Duane-Just between you and me that second shot of your's, your co-workers? Umm, the guys look like they came right out of "The Godfather". Maybe it's best you not suggest that back to them though ;) Geat shots, looks like you already know how to use that lens well.
Howard, you certainly have a poet's eye. When I first saw the 'cloud' image, that's what I though it was! I'm such a sucker.

Your daughter's (?) image is adorable. Love it. Have you tried cropping out some of the sky in the "Going Nowhere and making it all B&W? I thnk it would make it an even more powerful image. (But then, what do I know?)

Thanks all.

Doug

Too funny Doug. Ironically the big guy in the photo is Italian and the gentleman with him is from Argentina. They are

"Goodfellas"; that is to say - terrific colleagues to work with. The 70 Limited is amazing. It's the best lens I have (even

though the 21 Limited is used the most). The 70 replaced my FA 50 1.4. Despite how terrific the nifty fifty can be, the 70

outshines it significantly. Cheers.

Douglas, I love the wolf photos. I've always been fascinated with wolves.
Yury, the bus is the best of these. Nice.
Harry, I think that is a sorting machine that separates sand/pebbles/gravel/rocks/boulders from one another. We have some similar ones here at the gravel pit.
Duane, nice shots with the 70, but I agree those fellas look like Goodfellas! I got myself that one for Christmas too. I was a good boy.
Howard, the clouds on the ground is interesting. Cloning out those little dark spots would further the illusion, I think.
Dorus, I like the hammock shot.
I'm way late, but here are a few of mine from this week.

Doug - Thanks - your shot s of the wolves are intriguing; the color on the woodpecker amazing.
Matt - You're right, I'll work on it. Your 1st 3 shots are surreal/unreal - great catches
Yuri - Deep fryer has interesting elements
Harry - That is a gravel maker. The tall structures are really strong with the sky background, as is the monument.
Duane - great portraits - the woman has a great face and doze guys!
Dorus - Typical - your renovation shot looks like MoMA (Museum of Modern Art - NYC) exhibition; 2. You're not the only one with the eye in your family.

Howard - interesting to see this creative change in style from you - I like it, especially "Through the Window".
Dorus - as always your unique perspective produces stunning works of contemporary art.
Matt - those amazing shots you keep capturing with the DA 15 are making me consider adding one to my stack of pancakes (21, 40, 70); sooner rather than later. Every time I think I've captured a landscape perfectly - I see your latest work and realize I have much to improve upon in my personal photographic journey. Your landscapes are nothing short of spectacular. Keep posting! Cheers.
