<p>Here are a few shots to kick off this week. These are from our annual family picnic. Small turn out this year; only 60 of us. Some years over 100 are able to attend. It's hard to get everyone here as travelling to this remote island can be costly and air is the only practical way to get here.</p><div></div>

<p>The night sky in Perth (Western Australia) had a great glow on the clouds the other night. Had fun playing with night scenes, which I don't normally get to do. Too many kids to get to bed! From our backyard I got this.</p><div></div>

<p>I took my son on his first backpack camping trip over the weekend. He did great and we had a lot of good father-son time. I brought the K-3, da40, da15, and Sears 135/2.8 which makes for a relatively packable kit. <br>
