Nikon adaptor for Voigtlanter lens

<p>I'm buying a Voigtlander Heliar 15mm 4.5 super wide ,question?is can this lens be mounted on my nikon D7100 via an adaptor, if so which adaptor? I do have a R2 Voigtlander which this lens is for. thanks for any info. Danny</p>

If you did, you'd end up with a wide-angle close-up lens (unless you're willing to take an angle-grinder to

your dSLR) with no way to focus further than a foot or two. Seems a waste of a pretty neat lens.

<p>Just a guess but I think the lens and the mirror might interfere with each other. That would not be a good thing....</p>

<p>I have some of the Voigtlander superwides in Leica Screw Mt, best bet is to just find a cheap LTM film body and use the UWA lenses on it.</p>

<p>Nope. The lens is designed to be used on a body which has a much shorter register distance than the Nikon. </p>

<p>Voigtlander actually made a 15/4.5 (and 12/5.6) in Nikon F mount - to be used with cameras that had mirror lock-up only! http://www.cameraquest.com/VCSL1215.htm Those are not the same as the currently available rangefinder lenses - which of course one shouldn't attempt to adapt to any of the current Nikon DSLR cameras.<br>

<p>I have and use for many years a Voigt/Cosina Bessa L with 15mm plus add on view finder showing angle of view. This is ideal for your use, built in light meter FILM camera. Totally mechanical not battery dependent save for metering. By the way the lens performs beautifully at all f stops even wide open at f4.5!</p>
