kohanmike
Is there a wireless remote control for the video on a D300s? I have a 10 pin wireless remote, but that only triggers the shutter, not the video. I'm going to use it to video a rehearsal of the ukulele group to which I belong. There are 45 people in a large rec room, I'm using a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8. Since the D300s runs only 5 minutes at a time, I thought I would trigger the video with a remote control, but nowhere do I find a way to do that.
kohanmike
I just called Nikon and they said no, so I'll be running to the camera a lot during the rehearsal.

elliot1
Ellis, interesting product. According to their site, the D300/D300s video is not supported.

+1 to Mag's suggestion.
kohanmike
It's not really a big deal to go over to the camera and turn on video. I actually tested my Canon R400 HD video camera, but the lens was not wide enough, and there's no wide angle attachment made for it. The D300s and Tokina 11-16mm works very well.

jay_hector
DSLR Dashboard and a TP-Link MR3040 router. Total cost under 40 bucks. There is a 107 page thread at this linki:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/themes-apps/app-nikon-dslr-dashboard-via-usb-v0-30-t1256583

I use it with a D800E for stills and video. Search the thread for d300s and you find many successful d300s users.

Watch this youtube video on how to do it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Our-AxmrDJM&feature=player_detailpage
