studio460
Wait! My absolute proudest "photographic" achievement of 2013 . . . cleaning my office! A monumental endeavor! I also built a new Ikea cabinet on New Year's eve (exciting life, huh?), and installed an Ikea counter on top of it to use as a work surface. Now, I even have a drawer just for Speedlights!

Matt Laur
Ralph, you're an inspiration. I'm going to jot down my thoughts about a similar work-area organizing effort to coincide with the upcoming vernal equinox. Or perhaps next Memorial Day. Or, heck, it's work, so maybe Labor Day would be better? I've already missed the chance for this New Year's day, so maybe I'll do that clean-up next New Year's day. That's it, done. In 361 days, I'm going to get right on it.

"gumption" this took to undertake. This took days, weeks, even. It's actually a multi-room project covering two hallway closets, and this space here. If I can find a "before" picture, I may show it here, but it was horrible. I mean, absolutely ridiculous. My office had been a complete mess for longer than I'd care to say. Thank you for the kind words!

cyanatic
Ditto Dan's comment, Ralph. Very nice job on that workspace. Now I will slink off and weep with shame... ;-)
studio460
Hey, thanks, guys! Of course, I only showed you the "clean" side. You wouldn't believe how much stuff I have crammed into this small spare bedroom!
Mark Keefer
I suppose finding my lost Sigma lens cap that fell under the car seat while I was cleaning out my car shouldn't count. lol. There are still several lens caps that are missing in action so until I find them that crowning achievement will have to wait for another year.

But seriously, I am delighted to have had one of my photos make photo of the day here on PN and I just won the PN Holiday photo contest. I have had some of my shots published in local magazine articles and some photojournalism on online news outlets. But getting a shot noticed here on PN by my peers, with so many good photos that are submitted here daily, getting this recognition is an honor and personally pretty cool for me. :-)
Cheers, Mark

heri_rakotomalala
I have started a significant project that took well over 3 months to put together and preparing now for an exhibition at an art gallery
Before 2013 I was always doing light/easy photography
It's good to work on a big project so you can push to the limits your skills
