JDMvW
I can tell it's time again to show my favorites (Matt Harding's Dancing series) in involving strangers in your work:
the original at
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap080722.html
and the update
http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120710.html

If you've never watched these (there's a compilation at <a href=" ) you owe it to yourself to do so, now and anytime you feel a little down.

My favorite moments are the one at the Korean DMZ and the one with the seal.
MichaelChang
I've always wondered about these sort of "projects", particularly the aspect of organizing strangers for the purposes of self-promotion.

Spencer Tunick comes to mind; at some point it's no longer about photography, rather the camera becomes an incidental tool to document a self-made event like Go-Pro pictures.

"Showing life as it could be" can take many forms - some are just more honest about it. :-)
<a href=" - 3:06 - kissing girls who are complete strangers
unangelino
If nothing else it shows an initial reticence for contact with a stranger can sometimes be overcome, by some people. The subjects come to see themselves as simply playing a role for a few minutes. No rehearsals, no lines to remember; just one show. Of course, it's easier to play a part when someone else is playing along, too. It's like a 60s encounter group meets street photography.
Not all that interesting to me, but harmless enough.
