AJG Posted March 16, 2018 Share Posted March 16, 2018 When I shot film professionally, I routinely refrigerated and froze film (except Polaroid) and never saw the defect illustrated here. I was always careful to allow enough time for it to warm up before use, and made sure that it was in intact factory packaging. I never refrigerated or froze film after exposure, but processed it ASAP. I can see how 120 film with its paper backing could have a problem if it were refrigerated after being shot or if the foil package were opened by accident while under refrigeration.
