Hong Kong in Detroit

<p>Recently an empty block in Detroit was turned into a Hong Kong city scape for use as part of Transformers 4. I lucked out and got down there after they had finished shooting, but before they tore the set down. </p>

<p>I was down there before shooting started, the only part of the set that had been built at all was the pagoda looking part, chain link fence around the whole thing. I had no idea that they were going to be shooting Transformers, just saw the building, thought - "wow, I don't remember a Chinese restaurant around here"</p>

Well of course it doesn't look like Hong Kong in my pics,I took the photos after the giant battle scene was shot, lots of

mayhem, explosions, a tram car crashing through a building. :)

<p>Looks like Hong Kong, if Hong Kong suffered the same economic fate as Detroit and lost most of it's population ;-)</p>
