BelaMolnar
Question, for expert please. I'm in need a new printer. Please recommend me a desktop printer, the best for B&W especially. Presently, I own an Epson stylus PHOTO 2200 The biggest print I printing is a 11x17" paper. Thank you for your advise. I prefer Epson.

(Mod: Moved from B&W film/printing forums.)
howard_m
you may want to ask this question in the Digital Darkroom forum. I think this place is more for film and wet darkroom.
digitaldog
Epson 3880 if you don't care about roll printing. The bigger ink cart's will save you over time.
Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
stp
Another vote for the Epson 3880. Great pigmented ink (not dye), great longevity, and I can go months without printing and don't experience clogging (though it's not recommended).
lauren_macintosh
For me if i need something large than 11x17 I will send it out to be printed, for me its cheaper to send it out
than buy a printer that goes beyond 11x17, also if you want B&W try the Epson 2400 printer it has three blacks
the 2200 has only two.
