john_fleetwood
Can you re-use diafine? Both solutions?
wayne_crider4
John I'm not an authority on it, probably the manufacturer would be better, but the alkaline solution #2 is the one that I understand depletes, and which you will use more of. There was some info that one person posted on his usuages of both here somewhere in a thread. I haven't used it enough to tell, but am thinking that I'll probably use the #2 as I would a normal 1 solution developer. At that rate I think I'm safe. The #1 solution should last as long as a solution would normally last in bottles. I don't think it goes bad except for oxidatiion. Btw, how do you like it? bleck
Yes, you can re-use both solutions. I mix up two one-gallon jugs of Solution A and B and work directly from those containers. The working life is exceptionally long (probably around 100 rolls of 35mm/36-exposure), maybe more. I tossed it when I hit the 100 roll mark and mixed a new batch. It was still working pretty well though.

I wrote a bit about it here: Diafine
scott walton
As stated, yes! I have used a gallon version for over a year and only replenished due to carry over with Bath A. When it gets cloudy you can put it through a coffee filter to filter out any sediment. What I usually do is get a gallon kit and a Qt kit and use the Qt kit to replenish. Been doing this for years!
