A good Wednesday to everyone. Had a chance the other day to shoot around an open house of sorts at a local outdoor challenge/adventure facility. Programs for adults, kids, corporate retreats, that sort of thing. A popular activity involved climbing a 40-foot telephone pole onto a platform about the size of a compact flash card, and then leaping for all you're worth to try and grab a trapeze-like bar that proved nigh on impossible to actually grasp. Here's an enterprising gent giving it his best. He failed to hang on, but the adventure staffer on belay did keep him from splatting onto the ground, so that part was nice.

How about you? Pointed your Nikon gear at any otherwise sensible adults doing ridiculous things? Share a photo!

00aJTZ-460715584.jpg.6a52a8956473df310b8bd3c88b50df6b.jpg

My image this week continues a series. Two Great Blue Herons nesting. Male flies off to gather material. Flies back with a twig or stick. This week, he arrives and there is a complicated handoff to the female. Both birds look like it's a bad hair day. More action next week.

Some terrific shots as usual but the bird shots are really outstanding.
Mine is the first sign of blossoms up north here in Quebec Canada (we had some hail today briefly) The big tree in the background has absolutely no leaves as yet. All the very best,

00aJVK-460749584.jpg.3880b98457bf5cda8211135d08c935f3.jpg
