Hello everybody!
I have a new D3100. It shots fine but there is always a magenta tint in the pictures in the following conditions:

High ISO (Hi1 or Hi2) and

Low light

I have upgraded the firmware version but the problem still persists. Can somebody help me to solve this problem?

Here is a sample picture. It is taken under these settings:

Shutter Speed: 1/30

F-Number:14

Exposure Program: Aperture Priority

Metering Mode: Matrix

Focal Length: 22

Flash: No

Noise Reduction: On

I have tried almost all combination of ADL, Noise Reduction etc. but the result is same.

00YpoP-365661584.JPG.92a7daaec9b2fdcae9a484ec80ade43c.JPG

That's noise you're seeing. Your camera is at ISO 12,800 in that photo. Splotchy color noise, especially reddish and magenta, is unavoidable at extremely high ISO settings.

If you must shoot at high ISOs and you want to remove the noise, you'll need to use noise reduction software in post processing. There are several good third party noise reduction programs. Most offer free trial periods. Try one at a time until you find one that works for you. I like NoiseWare and Noise Ninja, but there are other good programs available.
