pksswat
I liked the story James!
While I have taken a few family photos the last two weeks, I didn't have anything that I felt like posting in this thread. So, even though it was raining today, I took my camera with me as I went to pick up my son from school. When I stopped on the road by this field, the sun came out just enough to liven the colors up a little. Given the rapid development that's taking place around this area, I suspect the landscape won't be quite as green a few years from now. (Canon 40D, EFS17-55, f8, 1/350, ISO 200, Av+1/2, 17mm)
<a title="Khet110303_07 by pksswat (Praveen), on Flickr" href=" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5011/5494238626_e510e78641_z.jpg" alt="Khet110303_07" width="640" height="427" />
JDMvW
I've mostly been shooting 3-D this week with my new toy, my Belplasca camera,

However, this picture of the Belplasca itself is half of a stereo pair shot on a EOS 20D with a Pentax Stereo Adapter on a EF 35mm lens.

jamesgysen
I would like to think Nathan got some well deserved "sleeping in" time and so missed the start up. Either way, thank you Karen and Horse for kicking us off.

Still snowing here and I didn't get out to shoot this week. Another from a previous wrestling weekend. 40D, 149mm, 1/200th @ f4.5 and my first time shooting at 1000ISO (and higher). some light development in LR.

funcrunch
Mark - Amazing bird shot. Brad - Love the San Francisco streetlife shots as always.

I just spent four nights in a row shooting at my music school's regular student showcase at a local San Francisco club. I performed (bass/backing vocals) on one of the nights as well. It's a good cause (proceeds support my non-profit school) and I make some money selling photos to the performers and the school. Always leaves me exhausted though. Thus far I've only processed the first night's photos; here's one from a band called "Watermelon Disaster".

Canon 5D Mk II, 85mm f/1.8 at f/2.8, 1/50s, ISO 1600.

Its a shot of my daughter who is a bit of a drama queen and an actress. It was taken a few weeks ago, before mid terms. AJHingel
This is surely not a great photography. It is shot in one of the bigger monasteries in Shanghai, The Jade Buddha Temple. I wonder how many can pass such an explosion of colors without shooting.

bms
OK, I am usually over with the Nikon folks but thought I'd throw in a pic as I bought my first Canon to take exactly these types of images (well protected by a housing). Happy shooting!

nathangardner
Well I've done it again. I am terribly sorry to everyone, but I am glad to see the thread is up and going strong. I am really mad at myself because I couldn't wait to post this week's photo at the top of the thread. I guess I'll go on and post it here. I went with a friend to shoot the Sandhill Crane migration here in Indiana and while we were shooting we noticed three white cranes. After getting home and doing some quick Googling, we found that they are Whooping Cranes and are endangered with only about 400 remaining in the wild and captivity. They are even more rare in the east as most winter at the Aransas NWR in Texas and migrate north from there. These are three of probably less than 100 in the eastern U.S. Again, I apologize for job neglect.
