DickArnold
What I learned at the paper where I worked. "Anything to get the picture".
mark_drutz
My objection to using the LCD for most shooting is that I cannot see the image well enough to compose or see facial expressions in daylight. Even my P&S is a Nikon P6000 compact with a viewfinder. Living and shooting in NY I'm often asked by tourists to take their picture with their camera (I guess they look at my gear and assume I know what I'm doing). I tell them I will, but that I can't see them very well on their LCD screen.

Maybe they trust me with their camera because they figure I'm so loaded down with my own gear I can't run away with theirs. These tourists are a smart lot!
phule
[[i'm afraid I missed the ad, and therefore am not qualified to comment. I got rid of my TV in 1996, and should've done it decades sooner. Then such trivial issues would never have entered my consciousness. :-)]]

http://www.theonion.com/articles/area-man-constantly-mentioning-he-doesnt-own-a-tel,429/

:P
jim_ducey
The latest Nikon add I saw on TV had the user at arms length too, it must be a new advertising fad to promote live view.
Jim

wpahnelas
if canon paid sarah palin enough, they could show her photographing prey before blasting it with artillery. a win-win for everyone involved -- especially the viewing public!
who do you think would sell more cameras, oprah with her D3100 or sarah with a T2i?
