falcon7
I'd like to keep my reflector/diffuser set, but adapt them as the hand grip variety to eschew a second person holding the reflector. I know this isnt' ideal, but it could come in handy. Does anyone have an idea or has any one constructed their own DIY handle/holder for this purpose. I envision it to be like the accessories used in pizza parlors for placing and retrieving pizza pans from the ovens--difference being they'd be attached and stable.
hjoseph7
Allot of photographers use Pony Spring Clamps to clamp the diffuser/reflector to a light stand, but I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind.
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/283212-REG/Adjustable_Clamp_Company_3201HT_Pony_Spring_A_Clamp.html
picturesque
I'd just bite the bullet and buy a convertible set of reflectors with the handle already part of it. The problem with trying to attach a handle to ones that don't have it, is that you can't make the connection as rigid as it needs to be. If you notice, even on cheap ones, the handle and how it is attached is very rigid, and the frame itself possibly more rigid than regular reflectors. I can't see how you can attach a DIY handle without wrecking the material either.
bob_bill
You dont need a second person if you attach it to a reflector holder on a stand. Holder multitasks as a lightweight boom. Might want a sandbag or camera bag to weight it.
