Canon 5D Mark II - CR2 files blank

<p>I just recently purchased the Canon 5D Mark II (previously owned xti). I use PhotoShop Elements 8.0 on a Mac. When I upload my RAW (CR2 files) they appear blank in Adobe Bridge CS4, this previously did not happen. I apologize if this is a repeat post, i couldn't find an answer. </p>

<p>The following I have tried:</p>

<p>1. Purge Cache in Adobe CS4 - No luck.<br>

2. Upload ACR PlugIn version 6.2.0.29 - No luck.<br>

If anyone has any other ideas it would be wonderful! <br>

<p>Did the ACR 6.2 install properly? It seems, from <a href="http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/408/kb408941.html">this page</a> Bridge CS4 supports up to ACR 5.7? Try installing 5.7.</p>

<p>You need PS CS5 for ACR 6.x ACR 6.2 will NEVER work with CS4.</p>

<p>As for PS Elements I imagine it works in a similar fashion.</p>

<p>And yes, ACR 5.x with PS CS4 DOES support the 5D2 raw files. Somehow you corrupted your ACR 5.x update.</p>

<p>Adobe Camera RAW 5.7 does support the 5D Mark II under CS4; 6.2 will not work under CS4. <p>When you write "this previously did not happen", previous to what? Your purchase of the 5D, or did you do something else to your computer?</p>

<p>On a Mac with PSE 8 installed, if you launch a raw file from Adobe Bridge CS4 it will open in the full version of ACR 5.7. If you open the same raw file directly from PSE, it will open in PSE's stripped down version of ACR 5.7.</p>

<p>Bottom line is... open your raw files from Bridge, not PSE.</p>
