A good Wednesday to you, Nikonistas. Just before the clouded-over sun went down Tuesday night, I was walking the dogs through a favorite weed patch and came across this bumble bee. He was busily working his way around a teasle blossom, plucking out the small lavender petals and extracting a bit of ... teasle juice? ... from each one. Very industrious of him. What have you and your Nikon gear been busily doing? Share a photo!

00WrNz-259823584.jpg.517aae41f514379d5d969ad2e9c24624.jpg

Happy WedNEsDAy!
Not quite as hot as last week but the weatherman says the end of the week could be a scorcher. My wife planted these lilies a couple of years ago. They are beautiful for a few week and then the flowers are gone. Too bad!

In Aussie Rules football if a player is “knocked over by truck” it means he was flattened by an opposition player. But in the local leagues it might also mean that the player was “run over by a truck” as this player recovers a ball that rolled onto a busy freeway.

Greetings Wednesdayers!

Two guys at a daytime party. Going through some shots from two years ago, I'm reminded how nice it is to have available light. In this case it is a floor to ceiling patio door with a white translucent curtain. Hand held, 50mm f/1.4, 1/25th at ISO 200 on a D70.

Amazing shot Matt. Never fail to impress.

A new Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 came to my door this morning. I couldn't believe how wide 10mm truly was. I don't think Eli could believe it either.

00WrOT-259835584.thumb.jpg.6ebaa22fa112105f27120d8f96f687fc.jpg

Alejandro - you are too tough with the Argentina team - nice image.
In the city of Candiac Quebec, there is a waterfront park and once a year they hold a music event and this time it was a symphony Orchestra playing music from the movies e.g. 007, hairspray, schindlers list, sound of music to name a few. I am seated in a chair and I took this photo of a cross section of the crowd but attracted to the city mascot "Bigelo". The music would start in about 10 minutes to the delight of over 3000 people. It finished with synchronized fireworks.

00WrPC-259857584.jpg.4f6d70663d65e9810a95b3fdaf0d2360.jpg
