jared_angle
I have been using Rodinal in my darkroom class at university, but neither our development charts in the film washing area, nor the inside of the HP5+ box show the time for the film pushed to 1600 with this specific developer. Times for 1600 are shown for other developers, including HC110 and D76, both of which we have, but I would like to continue using Rodinal.
I am using a 1+25 dilution.
Does anybody have any suggestions for a good range of times for 35mm HP5?
trooper
Rodinal is not a good choice for push duty... Of the 3 you mention you mention having, I'd go with the D76 for a chance at printable negatives. D76 1:1 might be the best combination of speed and controlling grain a bit.
jared_angle
Thank you, I'll try the d76 this Friday, we have some 1:1 already prepared so I will try a less important roll at first and see how my mileage is on that.
Jared
larrydressler
I would use the HC-110 dilution B 11 minutes 20C.

andrea_ingram2
Or you could try rodinal 1:100 for 1;45 hours stand.
thomas_sullivan
HP5+ in various developers at various ISO ratings from the Massive Developing Chart. Pay attention to the notes column also......

http://www.digitaltruth.com/devchart.php?Film=HP5&Developer=&mdc=Search

My "go to" source when trying something new. I sometimes modify their recomendations, but it is usually very minor
