rahul_agarwal1
I imported a family session on to my computer and went to do another shoot. After a couple of days I came back to find that some of my images were missing. I have no clue where they are and how to get them back besides going to the CF cards and recovering them. However, I've already shot over those pictures. I've tried using multiple software solutions but for some reason none of them are recovering files besides what are currently on the cards. I've tried RescuePro Deluxe, Pc Inspector and DiskInternals Flash Recovery. Is there a way to get these files back?
mendel_leisk
What kind of computer: Windows, Mac, and what version of operating system? The missing files may only be shifted to some other location, and findable.

leicaglow
Spinrite (.com) is a very good program. My concern would be that if you lost some images, is there a bigger problem with your hard drive? As in: you might lose more.
rahul_agarwal1
That is my concern as well. Hopefully not, what I've realized from this is that I need a better backup system but I also need to check my files after I import them! Will spinrite go back and get previous files?
JeffOwen
I understand that Windows 7 carries out a regular defrag. If that has happened then if your files have been accidently deleted then they may well have been written over.
