cole_paquette
well, I must admit I am quite saddened to see these films go away. No other company has produced something quite like these. I mean, really, instant film that makes a negative? slide film that takes four minutes to process at most in a small cranked box? the sheer handiness of it all made it quite nice.

who agrees that some other company should produce something like these? or even these?
leicaglow
No objection from me. I wish Fuji would pick it up. People talk about the folks in Europe trying to revive Polaroid, but it's only instant pack film (ala SX-70), and no talk yet of a PN film, or even 4x5 film.
jose_angel
I stopped buying 4x5"s when their usual extremely high prices started to become obscene... I`m afraid this was the main problem.
Digital procedures are simply way more convenient (you can have a small camera for the same purposes, including metering, and shoot a much better "ordinary" film of your choice, at a much lower cost... well I know it`s not the same!).
JDMvW
My favorite was Type 52 4x5. Incredible highlight and shadow detail. More like the old print-out papers than anything modern.
