dbcooper
I apologize if this has already been brought up. A search of the site turned up nothing relevant.

Has anyone else noticed the Nikon's shooting mode scheme naming convention on their advanced DSLRs? Unlike Canon's Av/Tv, etc. naming scheme, Nikon's are individually (as they appear on the digital top display of my D200 and D700 cameras) 'S' (shutter priority mode), 'P' (program mode), 'A' (aperture priority mode), and 'M' (manual mode). Collectively, that's SPAM. Do you suppose Monty Python had any design input here?
Ed_Ingold
It also spells "MAPS", possibly influenced by Nikon's connectability to Garmin GPS units ;-)

railphotog
Probably a scheme concockted by that long time ago bank robber who jumped out of a plane with his loot. What name did he go by? Oh, yes - D. B. Cooper! :)
