Well it's past midnite EST so here goes.
Nice shots, Bob. I just spent the last 6 nights watching the PBS Ken Burns doc. on the national parks. I think I'm going to quit my job and hit the road.

Anyway, here's my offering for the week. Low water around some sand bar islands on the Mississippi River a few miles north of Minneapolis. K20D, Sigma 18-55mm, polarizing filter.

So I've been thinking of selling my smc-k 200mm f2.5. I really haven't used it much since it's kind of redundant with the Voightlander 180mm & Sigma 70-200mm. I figured I should give it some more work before I do anything drastic though. I can't say these shots have really dissuaded me but I kind of like them.

00UelV-177967684.jpg.d5d9409d1f2e9859439b8b4755777bf8.jpg

Attended an Autumn Digital Photography class in Yellowstone last week and enjoyed the warm and beautiful fall weather at least until the last day. There were at least 4 fires burning which made the early pics a bit hazy.
K20D + DA* 50-135 f/2.8.

The fires were put out this day. K20D + DA*16-50 f/2.8.

More modeling shots. Here's Mona D. The first shot was one that she did not select, but the background is awesome. The second is just me playing around with lens distortion.

I was in the Wallowa valley last week visiting my parents, and was able to get some pretty poor photos of the spawning Kokenee in the river flowing into Wallowa Lake. I was using an old Tamron Adaptal 80-210, model 103A, and focusing also turned the polarizer, so they weren't all pretty. One will give you the idea.
