mrraz
I've just found 2 PN members that went through the photo school at Ft. Monmouth. So how many more of you are out there? I'm just interested in hearing where you've been since then with your photography.
tomwatt
Glenn, sadly I am not among them. I was at Ft Monmouth, at the Chaplains' School. While serving in the Chaplains' Corps, I began my military photo career when I was issued a couple of bricks of film and asked to document a deployment (I have no idea where that film went, I turned it in). You guys were adjacent to me there.
As it turned out, I continued that path later becoming a 46Q, but was never sent to school. In some ways, I always felt a little cheated. On the other hand, I have my strong suits too. I make killer negatives. I can't print worth a dang. Part of that is due to the kinds of photo work I did. Camera in the field, film can in the closet and running the chemistry. Negatives passed along frequently, so I usually didn't get to see my handiwork. Although I did from time to time get feedback (e.g.: when are you going to learn how to focus?).
ted262
I'm not a graduate either (the MOS is now 25V COMBAT DOCUMENTATION/PRODUCTION SPECIALIST) although I'm more or less my Battalion's photographer. The school's at Ft. Meade, MD now.
