chrisnielsen
Wednesday's thread was actually on a Wednesday here in New Zealand and I wasn't ready!!! Awesome photos as usual, keep up the good work guys!
This shot is from a recent airshow here in Auckland. The Australians brought over a couple of their FA-18 Hornets and this is a shot of one just after takeoff, hence the gear doors are still not fully closed.

Kent Shafer
This is a pseudo-HDR image made from one capture processed three ways in Adobe Camera Raw (light, normal, dark) and combined in Photomatix. I had read that you can't really expect much from this technique so was pleasantly surprised by the HDR look it produced.

D300, 45mm f/2.8 GN, ISO 200, 1/800 @ f/5.6.

ray_rg
Good Morning WedNEsDAy :)

It seems I am already late for the WedNEsDAy photo, it's not even 7am in new england and seeing so many nice pictures. I think I will come back later for the comment, first thing first to post the photo.

Last weekend visited the zoo, and here is the picture of "Tiger with clean Tongue", cropped and sharpened as he/she was behind the glass.

Model: NIKON D40
ISO: 200
Exposure: 1/800 sec
Aperture: 6.3
Focal Length: 200mm

I hope you all like it.

Ray
pcnilssen

These threads just get longer and longer, and that is FUN!
I'd like to comment your photos later, but first, since I'm actually at work, I'd like to reply to those who have made comments or questions to me:

Rene': Thank you. I try to mix landscape as well as more detailed shots, and have to fight to include too much in the same picture.
Mike: Thank you. Sometimes it it best not to go to bed in the evening to get the morning shots, but it is somewhat easier at summer time in Norway, with much light during the night hours.
Jeannean & Monika: Thank you. It was one of those few nights this summer when it was good weather, and no wind, however quite cold. The only person to be seen was the guy who ran the icecream kiosk - and he had no customers :) No children playing around in the water.
Cees: Thank you. We always strive to please ;)
Lil: My pleasure! Thank you for always taking your time to comment on every picture that is posted here. On behalf of everyone here, it is much appreciated. I hope that you are well from yur headache now.

jeff_keplinger
Happy Wednesday everyone. So many responses already at this early hour. My shot came at the 70th Texas International Fishing Tournament. I was focusing on the boat in the water.

jannekaakinen
Hi everyone! Seems to be a high quality thread, as usual. My favourites are photos by Aaron Bonnici, Ian Rance (D50 rocks!), Oskar Ojala, Justin Weiss, Chris Court, Mike O'Day, Paul sooHoo, Ton Mestrom & Lil Judd (last weeks IR-shot was awesome too!) to name but a few. And thanks to those who commented my photos in last two threads, I've been way too busy with a childrens art festival we were doing, haven't had any time to take photos or see what's going on here in PN. I even missed the announcement of the new Nikon cameras and lenses. :)

Well, as I said, in the festival I was way too busy so that I didn't have time to take that many photos (and it was full of great photo opportunities, but then again we hired a pro to photograph the festival). But when the festival was over, I finally had time to reach for my bag and take out my D50. This one was taken after the closing dinner for the artists and hard working crew.

ilkka_nissila
keerthi, focus stacking is a technique in which several photographs focused at different distances are merged to create an image with greater depth of field. See e.g. www.heliconfocus.com.

Matt Laur
And you need to crank up your JPG compression a bit, Eric - that file needs to be under 300kb, and yours is over 1mb.
