jenkins
If you are uploading a picture to this forum and its not in you portfolio where do get the HTML from? If i upload to Photobucket and get the HTML code from there people can click on the picture and go into my account, how do you do it?
Thanks.
leicaglow
Simon, you could paste the HTML to this forum as a link, but it would be better to upload the file. I hate it when I go back through an old thread and the link is suddenly gone. If you don't have the image, you can right click on the image in PhotoBucket, save it, then upload it here. Otherwise, for the link, you could right click on the image and View Image. That should bring it up with just the image URL in the browser. You can copy and paste that to your post.

Spearhead
You can upload directly from your computer, it doesn't need to be on the web. On the Confirm page, there is an upload box. Or it's on the page after the Confirm page.
Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal
jenkins
Jeff i love the idea of what you said, but i can see no upload box, there is an update but that is for the HTML, how do i get a code for that if the picture is on my computer?
No Words you can upload direct but i don't see that here?
Spearhead
It may be a little bit un-intuitive, but it's on the page that says "Success" after you have confirmed your post. On that page, there's a box for the upload. It puts the post up and then adds the photo afterwards. As I said, un-intuitive, maybe even a bit odd, but it does work. jenkins
Oh i see Jeff 700 pixels wide, i have nothing that size but i see how it works now, thanks.
Spearhead
You also need a caption. 700px max width and a caption must be in the box if you want it to display.

Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal
jenkins
Ok Jeff i will remember that, so there is no height restriction?
Spearhead
As far as I can tell, it doesn't check height at all, but for display, there may be a file size restriction. It says 100K, but I know that you can upload and display in-line at 184K (I just ran a test) but it would be better to keep it to around 100K.
Music and Portraits Blog: Life in Portugal

axel-cordes
>It may be a little bit un-intuitive
Yes - it's really implemented a little 'strange' - which we see all the time when PNETers have their problems.
I'll send this post to Josh - hopefully he is the right one for it.
Ciao Axel

jim p
I got a message when I tried to post a link from my photonet gallery that threatened to delete my account for double posting, so I'm guessing probably the best (and safest) is to up load new. Anybody else have that problem?
