theo_vermeulen
Optech straps are great and i highly recommend them.
They make the camera FEEL much lighter. Bounce is not a problem unless your jogging! :) Also, they NEVER seem to wear out. I have had one for more than ten years now and it is still going strong. I guess Made in the USA does make a difference :)
They are so good that I also now use the Optech SOS straps on my laptop and camera case. They really does make a difference to your comfort.
http://optechusa.com/product/detail/?PRODUCT_ID=41&PRODUCT_SUB_ID=
I have them on all my cameras. I prefer the older "fashion bino" style that didn't have the removable strap buckles. Seems more secure to me.
http://optechusa.com/product/detail/?PRODUCT_ID=10&PRODUCT_SUB_ID=
You can also get them with different style connectors. I prefer the rubber No 2 connecters as they are very easy and quick to fit (and remove) from the camera. liljuddakalilknyttphotogra
I'm on my third Tamrac straps - one for my (well what used to be my - it's now sold) D200, one for my D300 & I have one I often add to my 300mm AF-S f/4 lens to carry it around better on the camera.
I bought a BlackRapid strap which I'm not all that happy with.... it's not as comfy & it's not as nice against my neck. I also got a Crumpler neckstrap - that's on the D700 & I like that. Still I love my Tamrac straps - yes a little bouncy - but very generous against my neck & I'm not getting any younger......
Lil :-)
