aimee_pieters Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009
When I was at Imaging USA a couple of weeks ago, I saw lots of these peel 'n stick albums. Has anyone used these? How do they compare and how do you price them? Are some better than others? Any information would help, thanks.....-Aimee
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Charles_Webster Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009
They are far from archival. I have one that I'm trying to remove photos from and I'm having a lot of trouble getting the prints off without damaging them.

<Chas>
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
aimee_pieters Posted January 29, 2009 Author Share Posted January 29, 2009
In my research, I've found that NO commercially available wedding albums are archival. While some claim that they use archival mats or papers, the adhesives, cover materials and lacquers are not.
Besides, we're talking about a peel 'n stick album, not an heirloom.
By the way - I've heard that you can remove most photos from this type of album with a hair dryer. You probably won't save the print, but you'll save the album and all the other prints that you're already stuck down....-Aimee
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
barbara_lucas_wilson Posted January 30, 2009 Share Posted January 30, 2009
I just did one of these this week. The album is an 8 x 8 from Neil Enterprises, and for what it is, I thought it came out pretty neat looking. I designed the pages in FotoFusion, then printed all the pages, trimmed and put it together. As a less expensive alternative, I thought it was pretty good. I haven't used any others, and I'm trying to price them conservatively to see if there's interest.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
