raul_camargo
Is it true that Jobo discontinued the CPP-2? I was considering getting one for strictly B&W, mostly 35mm, work. Aside from a used CPP-2, what are my other options?
Thank you.
sattler123
B&W is really easy to do without a processor - you don't need a CPP-2. I have a Jobo ATL3, but I only use it for color development - B&W I just do manually - it is not even worth getting the machine started. Get some Paterson tanks (or the Jobo tanks) and just inverse them depending on film and developer.
peterbcarter
True: Those jobo's are not made anymore. Some manufactures still make processors, but they are *really* expensive.

Even c41 is easier done by hand. The base temp for chemicals is about the same as full hot water from the tap. I stopped using a thermometer a while ago. Special films or slides (e6) is what you need that kind of control for.

Another advantage of doing this by hand: Parts for a cpp-2 will get scarce, if not already.

rothelle
I think if you want one rather that they are gone. It's how you take care of it and use it. I have a sidekick and love it.
