<p>Wobbly? It does not wobble on my F100. What camera are you using it on?</p>

<p>I certainly do not see any wobble in the results.</p>

<p>Hi Brooks. I use D200 and D90. I even checked a couple is shops. All like mine. The tolerances don't seem tight enough. Ken Rockwel, in his review of the 50mms, says it is normal. Just the lens barrel and the focus ring don't hug.</p>

<p>There is a slight give to the lens barrel when I put some pressure on it, but I would hardly describe it as a wobble. I am not going to put inordinate pressure on it to see if I can force it to move. I does not seem to move when I pan with the camera. So it moves very slightly under pressure that is not part of normal operation; so what? It is designed to; the barrel must move in and out to focus. This is not an IF lens. As we both agree, this designed tolerance has no effect on the image.</p>

<p>Hi Brooks. No effect on the image quality, I agree. Just I like each of my lenses to feel as one piece and very solid. Like the wonderful AI-s, or to a lesser degree, the new AFS.</p>
