tholte
Not very surprising considering the Ponzi schemer that bought the company.

lex_jenkins
Well, I had some fun with emulsion lifts and neg transfers. Good while it lasted. Then every third booth at the local arts fairs displayed either Polaroid transfers or Holga stuff. Now all the cool kids have moved on to elaborate piercings involving large navel rings made from Swingers.
azlatic
It's sad that I'm going to have to describe the Polaroid process to my little one when she grows up, instead of letting her get to experience the magic herself. I'm with Stacy...it's depressing!
michaeljlawson
Most of my early years were captured by my parents with Polaroid. I feel like I wouldn't have existed without them. Everytime a story started with "Let me show you what you did", out came the book of Polaroids. It is kind of sad.
MichaelChang
I have a couple of Polaroid photo printers that uses 600 film and always wanted to hack them for some other interesting uses. Now I have an excuse.

eBay is now very busy with Polaroid film bidders.
markci
Yeah, it's said. Polaroid prints are one-of-a-kind originals, and the print you hold in your hand is the very one passed around and admired by the people in the photo, seconds after it was taken.
