nickc1
I have just purchased some packs of films with SPUR developers - 2 films per bottle of developer - and was wondering about the keeping properties of the 'other' half bottle of developer while waiting to process the second film. I know I can wait and process both at once, but as the films are specialised (Agfa Copex & Kodak Imagelink) I may not get round to using them for a while. The SPUR developers are Image speed professional and Nanospeed professional, both in 50ml bottles. Any experience out there will be gratefully accepted. Thanks - Nick
christer_almqvist2
I have filled the half-empty bottle with distilled water as per instructions (be careful to mark the bottle accordingly!) and used the "pre&part" diluted solution several weeks later with good result. BTW, I found Imagelink/Imagespeed preferable to your other choice because it is less likely to show the effect of uneven development. This is generally only a probblem if you have very large light and even surfaces (including the sky if there are no clouds) in your picture. Interiors with white walls are a high risk area too. For 10x12 inch enlargements from 35mm you do not really need these film, TMX is a more practicable solution.
nickc1
Thanks Chris - I probaly agree with you regarding tmx, but these films were a special offer, end of line, and so I thought I'd have a go. The copex films are Minox, and the choice is limited there. Thanks again - Nick
