Craig_Cooper11664875449
Try and shoot at f/2.0 or less in daylight and you will find out very quickly why you need shutter speeds faster than 1/1000

rainer_t
-- "overexposed ?" Indeed ... sunny-16 tells us to use 1/100sec and f/16 (with 100iso) ... 1/200sec and f/11 ... 1/400sec and f/8 ... 1/800sec f/5.6 ... 1/1600sec and f/4 ... 1/3200sec and f/2.8 ... 1/6400sec and f/2 ... so if you don't use a speed above 1/1000 at f/2 in bright sunlight, your result will certainly be overexposed. savagesax
I've gone over 1/1000th many times for sports. Nothing more cool than a hockey player taking a slap shot. The puck will be a blur at 1/1000th. Race cars, motor cycle racing, even nature, such as stopping a humming birds wings. Venture up to 1/8000th of a second and you will see a new world!
