john_.
I recently got asked to shoot a commercial project, and am lost as to how to price it out...Was wondering if there where any professionals out there who have done this before that could help me out or point me in the right direction. The shoot is for a product, and the end result that the company would like are: CD’s with high resolution pictures. they will use these pictures for product brochures, advertising, trade displays, website, etc. any and all help is greatly appreciated! ellis_vener_photography
Simply put they want unlimited in perpetuity usage rights. not knowing what the product is, what the size of the marketign and advertising is or who the client is there is no way to put a dollar value on this. tony_clark
No matter the product, unlimited use for an unlimited time would be shooting yourself in the foot. If they like the images they would want to renew the license when the term is near expiring. I would also state no Third Party usage.
ellis_vener_photography
Does the client manufacture the siding, retail or wholesale the siding, or only install it, or any combination of the above? Are they a local, regional or national company?

wayne wallace photography
I would highly recommend joining a professional organization such as APA or ASMP to learn the ins and outs of commercial photography. I'm a commercial photographer in Las Vegas.
