kenny_c
Just curious, what kind of strange cameras do you guys use? Aside from thestandard wedding gears, are there any particular oddball cameras you take out ona shoot for fun / novel factor? I've been carrying a holga and it weights nextto nothing... although at times I don't have the time to shoot an entire 120roll so it gets carried around to a few weddings before developing... lets hear it. cheersk
yann1
Your post reminds me a story: I had my Yashicamat 124G printed on my name card, and one day, as I handed my name card to a girl, she asked me why did I put the photo of a washing machine on it. She mistook the twin lens (that she has never seen before) for a machine that washes and dries the clothes. Strange camera depends on the country you live in. Here in Taiwan, it's my Yashica, and also my Retina IIc.
david_schilling___chicago_
I don't see the value of using a strange camera.....would you know in adavance which images you want to be strange? You can take good images and play with them in photoshop to get whatever "strange" results/effects you'd like.
tim_mulholland
No strange camera, just my Fuji G617, which will take in a lot! ;) Tim!
russ_butner___portland__or
What's with those goofy newfangled cameras, that don't use film, and have a little TV screen on the back? Russ
russ_butner___portland__or
Actually I get a few quizzical looks, if I pull out one of my old rangefinders. Like the ones that their grandparents used to use, in the days of old. Love that sharp, fast glass. Russ

greg jansen
I have an old Norita 6x6 slr loaded with Portra 160 NC. No amount of Photoshop can give the look that that does. It has a 80mm f2 lens with just the right amount of contrast and softness to it. Sometimes I use a 35mm point-and-shoot loaded with infrared B&W. hillary_charles
1950's vintage Stereo Realist 3D camera. It's like being there all over again. :)
newbs1
Used to trim sheet film to fit the holders and take a speed graphic 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 with press flash bulbs(when I could get them). Put a fedora on with a "press" badge in the hat band. The couple always loved it and the photos it made were from a different era, image wise.
