hughes
Can I load this film on a 35mm plastic reel or is it too narrow which is what I suspect. Anyone got any tips on developing this found film. Steve
larrydressler
It will fit in a 35mm reel. Infact my tank gives the volume as 35mm/126. I have done it many times. I wish they still made B&W for 126 because I have a few nice 126 SLRs well I did I sold the last one.... Silly me. Larry
danny_wong2
126 has same width as 35mm with the exception of the holes. You load it just like 35mm.
john_shriver
828 and 126 were exactly the same width as 135 (35mm), so that they could go through the same Kodachrome processing machines. Kodachrome was "really important" when both of these film sizes were in their prime. Similarly, 110 film was exactly 16mm wide, so that Kodachrome in that size could be processed on the 16mm machines used for 16mm and regular 8 movie film. The only films that caused Kodak to make a new size of Kodachrome processing machine (it's more of a factory) were Super 8 (big success) and 120 (not a market success).
