I was given a nice black EL for X.MAS would the lenses from my FG-20 work on

this camera I use them on my FM but not sure about the EL P.S Great Site

as soon as your lenses have the rabbit ears you can use them on the EL.

Some of the lenses can have the rabbit ears added, and then they would work fine. A pretty simple job for a repairman.

Send your lens to John White http://www.aiconversions.com/ and ask for a Type C conversion - put the yoke (rabbit ears) on a lens.

 

Mr. White does top notch work; he AI converted (the reverse of what you need) 4 of my lenses. I have had no problems with the lenses.

I wish to thank you Gents for all help. But the Nikkormat El has to go back. my daughter got off e.bay the seller stated ih was in good working order well it's not the shutter won't move the apature does nothing tried a new battery just hope the seller won't give me a hassle Guess I'll try again

If you should happen to get another EL, or another pre-AI Nikon, remember that you can still do manual exposure and stop-down metering with a lens that lacks rabbit ears.
