Lens Cap for Heliopan Slim filter

Does anybody know where I can purchase a lens Cap for a Heliopan Slim 77mm

filter ? The Canon lens caps I have do not fit. I tried using a Nikon lens cap

but that did not fit either. I also searched the Web but found nothing.

Heliopan has "snap-on-covers" in the size of 77x0,75 .

If your slimlinefilter has a frontthread this snap-on-cover will fit .

Slim filters don't have front threads, do they?

Or, if you have an old fashioned camera store nearby, you could look for a used slip-on cap that would fit.

Hi,

I just ordered a Heliopan 77mm Super Multi-Coated SLIM filter for my 24-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor lens. I am curious to know what push cap (or other cap) to look for. I read something at Photofilter.com about the Heliopan using an 80mm cap. However, you should go to the site and/or call them yourself to confirm.

 

What did you finally get? Did you try the neoprene hood cover which was recommended by a previous post? If so, how did it work for you?

 

I guess I will have to wait for my filter to be delivered and then drive to a good photo supply store and try a buch out for size.
