Replacements to the Epson R2400 and the 3800?

Recommended Posts

I hate to ask about rumors on Photo.net, it's very odd for Epson to update the

ink formulations on their pro-line printers without updating their semi-pro

printers at the same time. Has anyone heard a word about these two models being

updated in the near future? The R2400 is now three years old, and that's the

typical product cycle for Epson.

not bad if you selling your print at 15$ square feet? a 5 x 10 print will cost your customer around 750$ (cost you around 250$).

Sell 4 print you got your inkset.

Sell 1-2 more print and the paper roll is paid

Sell 20 more and the printer should be paid

After that, its a down payment on a house every 3 print sold : )

Epson annuonced three new pro printers this week with "vivid" magenta, new UltraChrome K3 ink technology.

They are the model 11880 (prints 64 inches wide!), 4880, 7880, and 9880.

This monster 11880 specs likes this: Nine individual 700ml (fill vol.) ink cartridges; 16-bit drivers (16-bit image support I guess?).
