thierry nguyen cuu - nomad
All around, in lots fo forums and websites, people keep posting/asking aboutrumors of bodies replacement... nobody really knows what's happening. I'm just wondering: instead of (manufacturers) making a new or upgrading anexisting camera, why don't they, manufacturers or third parties, just likeLeica, make a Digital Back for existing (excellent) film SLRs ? Isn't it the best of both worlds? No conversion of FOV and all existing gears have a new life and FF for everyone. I don't kow how about the dust or scratch on sensor for removable digital back, but this can be dealt with by passive protection. Hum...
mtwhite
Try a google search for "Silicon Film". It makes for enlightening reading.
ellis_vener_photography
Medium format film cameras, in particular the Hasselblad 500 series and some Mamiyas work this way. So do large Format cameras. there are more problems than you might think there are with such a set up. But Kodak did it with the Nikon based DCS 760 and earlier DSLR cameras and there was the now equally discontinued Leica R8/R9 + DMR combination. ellis_vener_photography
and you wouldn't see "FF" -- the best the camera designers have able to get is 1.3. there needs to be some room around the sensor "sandwich".
keith_schmidt2
Omega, NC - I'm interested in buying the 85mm 1.8 you have listed in the classifieds, but my emails to you keep getting rejected. If you still have the lens for sale, please contact me via my email in my profile. Thanks - Keith
