chromatic-aberration
Does anyone make replicas of the A36 size bakelite lens caps? (Modern plastics are fine.)

jkelly04
If you want the real thing, contact Sherry Krauter. I've bought several lens caps from her at reasonable prices.

rjm photo
Cameraquest has lens caps of that size, appear to be hard rubber, aftermarket pieces, I bought several for my 50mm Elmar F3.5 and my ancient 90mm Elmar. Seems to be less expensive than the original Leica metal caps that remain in a safe place at home. These aftermarket caps were about $15 per. chromatic-aberration
They might actually, if they prevent holes from being burnt in your shutter curtain. Seriously though, I just like 'em. If you're going to go to all the trouble of using an antique camera, it seems only appropriate to minimize the obvious anachronisms you stick on it. I wouldn't put spinners on a vintage muscle car either. I've got a history degree. That's just the way I roll.
