samrat
I have had this problem for some time now. Many of my photos cannot be viewed in entireity when the page opens in photo.net. I realise it is easier to see (and critique) a photo without having to scroll up and down. You'll know what I mean when you see this: http://www.photo.net/photo/6112190 What size of photo (length X breadth) is optimum for display in these pages? Thanks. des adams
In portrait mode like your example try 660 pixels high when you save for web. Landscape mode can be bigger.
JeffOwen
It seems that anything over 511 pixels wide will be deemed too big and will have a link automatically attached. On the other hand there seems no limit to the height. I once submitted a panaramic image that was 500 wide X 2000 high and it was displayed OK in the text page. emre
512 pixels is the limit for the forums. 680 pixels is the limit for the gallery.
karl.jahr
For the gallery and critique forum I try not to exceed width 650 and height 450. That way they show without a need to scroll (at least that's true on my 15" laptop.
samrat
Thank you all for your input. I'll try to experiment with the photo I've alluded to in my question and see if such change in pixel size makes a difference.
don_e
The majority of displays these days are 1024x768 and 1280x1024 according to the folks who collect such data. A maximized browser window on a 1280 display with various toolbars, menu bars and status bars may display about 650 pixels vertical. That would be the maximum I'd use.
