steven_sherwin
Just wondering if anyone has pushed Fuji Neopan 400 to 1600 and what the results were. Obviously it will be grainy which doesnt worry me but just curious if there were any issues/problems apart from that? Thanks
thomas_sullivan
ummmm.......no.......but why would you want to? They make a Neopan 1600 film.
aeiffel
Neopan 400 can be pushed fairly well, use some diluted D76 or Xtol (1:2 to 1:3) or Microphen.
dchatter
I second Frederic's suggestion.
jtk
Emofin. I have no idea how far you'd want to push with Emofin, but I'm sure 1600 would be easy because grain's not significant at 1200 and there's tremendous latitude at 1200.
mawz
I've done it on occasion, stand developed in Rodinal 1:100 for a very interesting look. I prefer HP5 in TMax Dev for serious pushing though.
jlkphoto
Thomas Sullivan asks: "ummmm.......no.......but why would you want to? They make a Neopan 1600 film." Thomas, if I want Neopan 1600 in my Pentax 67 camera, I have to push Neopan 400. Fuji Neopan 1600 is available only in 35mm.
thomas_sullivan
Jeff...understood, but when I went to steven's profile here, all i saw were comment/posts pertaining to 35mm cams....so i replied accordingly. As for 120/220 film, you are correct...no Neopan 1600, which is a real pain. However, I prefer Tri-x@1600 in Accufine, or Delta 3200@1250 in PMK Pyro.....to Neopan 400 pushed. adam_n.1
i used to regularly push it to 1600 using hc110 and i thought it looked great. neopan 1600 is more expensive and having the 400 gives you more flexibility.
philippe_beaudry
I have pushed Neopan400 with great results using Xtol 1:2 for 15.5min at 68F.
