golden
i went to a pharmacy to get some negatives scanned, first time i had ever had any scanned. well i got my cd home and looked at them and they were copies of my negatives. i thought they would be positives, is there a way to convert them? thanks
john_shriver
Well, oops on them. There are plenty of simple image editors that are free for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. Any of them should be able to invert and color balance the scans. The GIMP is an ambitious attempt at a Photoshop clone, powerful, but probably as hard to use as Photoshop. gaius1
Go back there and tell them to do it properly! They are muppets!
robert_crigan
A colour negative scanned as a positive is pretty-well a lost cause. There's no practical way to adjust for the orange mask. The shop made a mistake. Talk to them. Robert. Melbourne, Australia
